 Conveyor Training
Frequently, conveyor safety is thrown in with a company’s general safety program and not enough effort is given to a proper "Conveyor Safety Training Program".
Hoj Engineering, because of its engineering background in all types of conveyors, conducts safety seminars in conveyor safety and inspection. The seminar program is based upon the ANSI Standard #B20.1 as well as relevant OSHA information.
Prior to conducting a conveyor safety seminar for a customer, a study of your operation is made so that the seminar is site specific as well as conveyor specific.
- Study and analysis. Nip points. Shear points. Pinch points. Crossovers.
- Transfer tables. Headroom. Guarding. Protective equipment. Shutdown procedures. Startup procedures (types of startups). Emergency stop procedures.
- Establishing a conveyor inspection and Maintenance program. Lockout / Tag out program for the conveyor (LOTO).
